A new face for MÄURER & WIRTZ

 

A new look for a company with a long tradition: starting immediately, MÄURER & WIRTZ will take the stage with a corporate design that has been completely reimagined. Peter Schmidt, one of Germany´s most important designers, is responsible for the new image. The result? A style that speaks to the senses and a classic, elegant typographic design that will immediately replace the businesslike and somewhat austere logo of the past.

 

The corporate design was overhauled to provide a visual expression of the company's philosophy and sense of identity. The new image will highlight the strengths of the company: MÄURER & WIRTZ is a family-owned company with a long tradition and, as one of the leaders in the fragrance and personal care industries, has become a global player with a presence in some 140 markets.

 

Both components of the company name will now be linked with a traditional ampersand, which serves as a reference to the long history of the firm. The new "House of Perfumes" tagline clearly emphasizes the company and its products, providing room for all of the company's brands under the corporate umbrella. The focal point of the new logo is the hand-drawn symbol comprised of an M and a W – a refined, stylish union of both letters.

 

"The power of connections" is how managing partner Dr. Hermann Wirtz describes the recipe for success of the "House of Perfumes" – it´s a concept that unites seemingly opposite ideas: tradition with the future, inspiration with marketability, reliability with creativity. The interwoven letters of the new logo serve as an attractive, visual representation of the power of connections.

 

In addition to the corporate design, Peter Schmidt also gave a face-lift to logos of other MÄURER & WIRTZ subsidiaries: M&W Prestige Cosmetics, die Glockengasse KÖLN and 4711 have all been discreetly updated – and are ready for a successful future in the "House of Perfumes."
